I'm celebrating 12 years of almost daily entrepreneurship. 🥳
Here are 12 lessons learned from this adventure (notes to self). 👇
1. In the beginning, choose an activity/theme that you enjoy and whose audience is stable or growing.
➡️ It's hard to persevere through the lows without intrinsic motivation.
2. Entrepreneurship is not a sprint but an ultra-trail.
💡 For each decision: is it also beneficial in the long term?
3. Simplicity is necessary to keep the activity light to manage.
➡️ Ask yourself: is there a simpler way of doing this?
4. Fail fast.
💡 The key is to identify it quickly, then pivot.
5. Work smart.
➡️ How can I do this as efficiently as possible?
6. Develop new skills.
💡 Learning is a fun and... never-ending process.
7. Networking is important. Even for someone who's a bit of a loner.
➡️ Meeting and exchanging with new people on a regular basis.
8. Sleep well.
💡 It's a prerequisite for good efficiency and sound decisions.
9. Travel. Even if it complicates your organization.
➡️ Travel opens your mind and brings you new perspectives.
10. Take calculated risks.
💡 Invest in yourself. And also in what brings tangible results to your company.
11. When you want something, ask for it.
➡️ Asking costs nothing and can open doors.
12. Have fun.
💡 The path is the destination. ☀
Do any of these points speak to you in particular?
If so, which one?
